LandCulture
LandCulture is restoring and enriching ecosystems through Indigenous values, practices and pre-contact conditions. It is about becoming one with the land, and people being a beneficial part of the ecosystem rather than a detriment. As Indigenous people it is our birthright to live in harmony with our mother the earth and an important path to healing.
WHAT WE DO
We educate youth and adults in that process, addressing the hands-on tasks of replanting, tending, growing, and processing foods from both tended wilds and gardens. We gain knowledge about the many species involved, and learn in a way that is natural and decolonized.
LandCulture is a term coined by us, it is an ancient practice that describes restoring culture that is all about the land.
